Expert review and reassessment of the cost benefit analysis study on Euro 5 sound level limits of L-category vehicles
8th December 2021
The Impact Assessment Institute, commissioned by the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (ACEM), has conducted an expert review and reassessment of the 2017 cost benefit analysis study on Euro 5 sound level limits of L-category vehicles published by the European Commission.

Our study scrutinises the methodology, assumptions, quality of supporting evidence, results, and conclusions of the original cost benefit analysis, and proposes an alternative analysis where necessary, leading to different cost benefit ratios.
The study was conducted in partnership with the acoustics consultancy Acustica.
