The IAI has scrutinised the European Commission Inception Impact Assessment on sustainability requirements for batteries.
The study, authored by Simon Godwin and Erik Akse, found a lack of a coherent definition of sustainability as well as a premature preference for a particular type of regulatory initiative.
As part of the Institute's standard peer review process, scientific and factual comments on the content of the study are invited from stakeholders at any time to inform a potential revision.
