Study on the European Commission Inception Impact Assessment on the Communication on the Common Agricultural Policy

Today the IAI is publishing a study scrutinising the European Commission Inception Impact Assessment on:

 

Communication on Modernising and Simplifying the Common Agricultural Policy – 2017/AGRI/001

 

published on 2nd February 2017.

 

The study, authored by Michelle Moutymbo, Simon Godwin and Erik Akse, finds that the IIA prejudges a number of elements and does not provide clear references for its assumptions and conclusions.  These shortcomings can be corrected in the ongoing evidence-gathering process.

 

As part of the Institute's standard peer review process, scientific and factual comments on the content of the study are invited from any stakeholder at any time to inform a potential revision.
