The IAI has scrutinised the European Commission Inception Impact Assessment on the Revision of the Machinery Directive.
The study, authored by Simon Godwin and Erik Akse, identified a lack of clarity in the main driver for the intiative and some prejudgement of impacts, although no premature policy preference was signalled.
As part of the Institute's standard peer review process, scientific and factual comments on the content of the study are invited from stakeholders at any time to inform a potential revision.
