Study on the European Commission Inception Impact Assessments on Secondary Markets for Non-Performing Loans and on Accelerated Loan Security

The IAI is publishing a new study scrutinising two Inception Impact Assessments related to loan financing:

               “Development of Secondary Markets for Non-Performing Loans" - Ares(2017)3137460

 

and

 

"Accelerated Loan Security - Protection of secured creditors from business borrowers’ default"

- Ares(2017)3432908

 

 

The study was authored by Jack Andreasen, Simon Godwin and Erik Akse.  It identifies a number of assertions not supported by explicit evidence and recommends these be reviewed and fully investigated in the planned Impact Assessments for the two dossiers.
